Sometimes everything starts with an idea – and the unstoppable drive to make it reality.

We are von der Factory: three minds who don’t see design and engineering as opposites, but as the perfect complement.

Michael (right in the picture) – as a graphic designer, he combines creative intuition with a keen eye for form, color, and the effect of materials.
Lucas (center) – a mechanical engineer who brings precision, technical know-how, and a passion for functional construction, turning even complex ideas into tangible designs.
Miguel (left) – also a mechanical engineer, uniting expertise in automation and software design with an instinct for making our creations digitally experiencable.

Together, we see ourselves as technical design pioneers – developing home objects that not only inspire aesthetically but are also engineered down to the smallest detail.

In our workshop in Münster, Germany, we create lamps, clocks, and distinctive design pieces made from wood, metal, Valchromat, and 3D printing – produced with state-of-the-art techniques, refined by hand, and always carrying a story at heart.

Our Story

2020 – The Beginning of a Journey

At the end of 2020, between sketch papers and the workbench, Michael and Lucas founded von der Factory as a father-son duo. At first, unique custom pieces made of wood and metal were created – each one a handcrafted original with its own character.

We tinkered, experimented, and gathered experience. With every project, the desire grew not just to realize commissions, but to bring our own ideas and collections to life.

2023 – From One-of-a-Kind Pieces to Our Own Collection

Three years later, the time had come: out of courage and passion, our first product line was born – Lignulux. Handcrafted LED lamps made from solid oak, inspired by the language of classic neon lights, yet warm, natural, and timeless.

With the launch of Lignulux, we also opened the doors to our own online shop – sending our designs out into the world.

2024 – Many Talents. Many Perspectives. One Team

With Miguel, Lucas’ former fellow student and colleague, our duo became a trio. He brings not only technical expertise but also fresh perspectives.

This year, the Echt Münster series was born – design objects that immortalize our hometown in unique forms. For the first time, our products also found their way onto the shelves of local retail stores.

2025 – LUXHORA & New Horizons

In 2025, we are writing a new chapter: with Luxhora, we launch our first clock series – where bold material combinations, modern technology, and precise craftsmanship merge into timepieces that tell more than just hours and minutes.

Alongside this, new products continue to emerge – always in motion, open to innovation, yet deeply rooted in craftsmanship.
