Sometimes everything begins with an idea, and the irresistible urge to make it reality.
We are von der Factory: three minds who see design and technology not as opposites, but as a perfect complement.

Michael (right in the photo), as a graphic designer, combines creative intuition with a keen eye for shape, color, and material impact.
Lucas (center), as a mechanical engineer, brings precision, technical know-how, and a passion for functional engineering to make even complex ideas tangible.
Miguel (left in the photo), also a mechanical engineer, combines expertise in automation and software design with the sense for making our creations digitally experienceable.

Together, we see ourselves as technical design pioneers. We develop home objects that not only delight aesthetically but are also technically thought through down to the last detail. In our workshop in Munster, we create lamps, clocks, and special design pieces from wood, metal, Valchromat, and 3D printing, manufactured with state-of-the-art processes, refined by hand, and always with a story at heart.

Our Story

2020 – The Beginning of a Journey

At the end of 2020, between sketchpads and workbenches, Michael and Lucas founded von der Factory as a father-son duo. Initially, they created special commissioned works from wood and metal, each piece a handcrafted one-of-a-kind with its own character. We tinkered, experimented, and gained experience. With every project, the desire grew not just to fulfill commissions but to bring our own ideas and collections to life.

2023 – From One-of-a-Kind Pieces to Our Own Collection

Three years later, the time had come: from courage and passion, our first own product series was born, Lignulux. Handcrafted LED lamps made from solid oak, inspired by the design language of classic neon lights, but warm, natural, and timeless. With the launch of Lignulux, we also opened the doors of our own online shop, sending our designs out into the world.

2024 – Many Talents. Many Perspectives. One Team

With Miguel, Lucas' former university and work colleague, our duo became a trio. He brought not only technical knowledge but also new perspectives. That year, the Echt Munster series was created, design objects that immortalize our hometown in special forms. For the first time, our products also appeared on the shelves of brick-and-mortar retailers.

2025 – LUXHORA & New Horizons

In 2025, we begin a new chapter: with LUXHORA, we launch our first own clock series, bold material combinations, modern technology, and precise craftsmanship merge into time objects that tell more than just hours and minutes. Alongside this, new products continue to emerge that, like us, always stay in motion, open to new ideas, rooted in craft.
